Fong Fong: Over A Year Waiting
After more than a year of complaining, I finally give in and did a photo shoot for my girlfriend. Why didn’t I do it earlier? I’ve always had the phobia of shooting my own girlfriend because of the horror stories told by friends and other photographers, how they argued during the session and sometimes pack and leave angrily. Luckily that is not the case for me. Phew~

Hui Pin’s & Wye Kean Wedding Day
Here are some photos of Hui Pin’s actual wedding day. The photoshoot started early at 7.30AM during the makeup session up till 2PM where it ended at the groom’s house after the tea ceremony. There’s too many photos to post, therefore I’ll just upload a few. I had a tiring night before as I was out on an event till pass midnight and forced myself out of the bed to get there early. I am glad I’m the 2nd person there after the makeup artist apart from her mom.
It was a tiring day but in the end it was fun. I hope you guys like the photos.

Testimonial: Celestina Tiew
It was a wonderful experience working with Samuel Tan . I felt comfortable working with him even though it was the first time i met him. It was more than a shoot as after the shoot, he brought me and my friend around Kuala Lumpur , and accompanied us throughout the day … A very helpful and great photographer to work with!?

Testing the 5D mark II in KLCC
Had an opportunity on my birthday to test out my new gear, the 5D mark II in Kuala Lumpur.
I think the KLCC shots has been overdone, but nonetheless it is still a very beautiful place.
This is taken from Trader hotel window. Yes, this is the view from the room. On that night, I also tried out some auto bracketing functions in the 5dm2 but this came out as my favorite as it is almost SOOC. I did a minor tone adjustment, saturation, resize and adding a watermark using photoshop.
Shot with the new 5D mark II with 24-105L IS USM
Focal length – 28mm
Aperture – F/9
Shutter Speed – 10 seconds
ISO – 50
After putting it into test, I realize that it is far from what I’ve been using in the past, the Canon 450D. Even the controls are different, the AF speed is different, shutter sound. There is so much for me to get used to and I need to start adjusting myself to suit its tempo.
(Edited 11/2/2010)
This photo below is taken the next morning. A day time photo. It’s non HDR, just a simple edit in photoshop.
Shot with the new 5D mark II with 24-105L IS USM
Focal length – 28mm
Aperture – F/8
Shutter Speed – 1/160 seconds or 0.00625s
ISO – 50
