To be honest, I am not really brand oriented and join EOS because I currently use Canon. Nikon are good too and I used it several times (borrowed) in the past.

I met her over a year ago by chance, a model friend of mine was having a photo shoot session in the studio and called to over to hang out, I was sound asleep. She called me 3 times and finally I give in and wake up and head to the studio. Imagine if I didn’t go, I might not have met her. She was there together with the model friend of mine being shot by other photographers.

After I got together with her, she has been asking me for a portraiture session, but I just brush it off whenever I can.   because of my phobia.

Now for some technical details below the photo.

Solitude

Single strobe 90 degree in front. ISO 100, shutter speed 1/125, aperture f/8.

Purple dress

2 light. 1 softbox 45 degree left and another strobe with honeycomb on the background. ISO 100, Shutter Speed 1/125, Aperture f/9.

Hair fling. One of my signature shot? I use to do it a lot in the past.

Techniques: For this photoshoot I did it very simple, just 3 studio strobes. 1 on the neutral color background at F6. 1/125, ISO100 and stobe on the model, left and right at F8, 1/125, ISO100.

Here are some photos of Hui Pin’s actual wedding day. The photoshoot started early at 7.30AM during the makeup session up till 2PM where it ended at the groom’s house after the tea ceremony. There’s too many photos to post, therefore I’ll just upload a few. I had a tiring night before as I was out on an event till pass midnight and forced myself out of the bed to get there early. I am glad I’m the 2nd person there after the makeup artist apart from her mom.

It was a tiring day but in the end it was fun. I hope you guys like the photos.

I have the opportunity to shoot one of the fast upcoming celebrity and actress, Belle Theng. Last year she won a pageant cum talent contest organized by one of the largest television network in Malaysia. It was great working with her as she is easy going, casual and fun.

In the past few week I have been learning to appreciate photos and digital art. I have been increasing the amount of subjects for my studies, from conventional fashion and commercial shoot to artistic digital painting and photo manipulation. I think it has help improve my eye for color, detail and taste.

Melancholic, choatic, fantasy, rustic are the things I begin to appreciate more. This might be due to the contrast between the subject and the background or props and colors. I will try to create more of such things in the future.

The feedbacks that I got from my friend at first glace is, yucky, weird, funny, gayish, etc. But in the end, I do find some people who appreciate the creation. I hope you guys do too.

I will continue and further indulge into the study of digital art and hopefully by learning to appreciate great artwork will help me improve my work and creations.
